The design process
Submit an inquiry via the Jot form on my inquiry page
I will respond asking for any additional information and a link to pay a deposit.
Deposits are due within 7 days from the date the link/request to pay is sent. The tattoo is not confirmed until the deposit is recieved. *if you need more time please reach out to me to let me know.
I will send you available appointment dates once the deposit is received.
I do not draw up designs immediately. Due to time I often only get a chance to draw up the initial concept the weekend before or even the night before the appointment.
I always review the design with clients before beginning the tattoo.
I find that reviewing the design in person at the beginning of the appointment usually is enough to make any adjustments or changes before getting started.
If your design is more in-depth or if I have any additional questions I can send you a draft via email the night before the appointment.
I am always available for questions, just give me about 4 days to answer.

The tattoo process
I aim to make all of my clients feel comfortable and heard.
The whole process of tattooing can feel daunting or intimidating. I try my best to make it as welcoming as possible.
After you have approved the design we will beginning the stencil process. Sometimes this can take sometime to get it just right.
Be sure to leave room in your day to get the tattoo. Even though I will give you a general time frame for how long the tattoo will take. I can’t always take into account changes that need to be made to the design or time it will take to place the stencil.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO EAT BEFORE ARRIVING.
Eating and drinking before a tattoo will give you the energy to sit through the process.
Tattoos are painful and can be hard on the body. You need to make sure your body has the fuel to handle it.
Feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you to have during your session.
We do have limited snacks, water, and tea available to you at the studio. But if you have allergies or specific dietary needs I recommend packing your own.
KEEP YOURSELF HYDRATED. Hydration not only helps the tattoo process but it also helps the healing process. Don’t just chug a bottle of water before you come to your appointment, spend a few days leading up to the tattoo keeping hydrated, your skin will thank you.
IF YOU ARE SICK please reschedule. I will do the same. Tattoos impact your immune system. If your immune system is already fighting off a sickness or recovering from surgery, you are going to put your body under unneeded stress if you get a tattoo. It’s best to reschedule.
If you want to bring a guest please just reach out to me and let me know. We sometimes have limited seating in the studio space or have clients that require more privacy, but generally a guest is welcome.

The healing process
After the tattoo is complete and we have taken photos of the tattoo. I will either apply a second skin barrier over your tattoo (Sandierm or Derm Shield) or I will wrap you in plastic wrap to protect your tattoo. I will check first for skin sensitivities before wrapping you.
You will receive aftercare instructions from me via email or a physical copy of the instructions.
On average fine-line tattoos take 4-7 days to feel mostly healed, but a full 2 weeks for full healing. Touch ups can be done 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment.
PLEASE keep in mind you should NOT enter any body of water (river, lake, stream), hot tub or bath tub for 14 days after your tattoo. Showers are okay.
Keep your fresh tattoo out of the sun. Wait until it is fully healed to apply sunblock.
In the first few days after your tattoo appointment it is best to keep the tattoo clean.
Wash the fresh tattoo 2-3 times a day for the first 3-4 days. Pat dry with a paper towel and apply a thin layer of aquaphor over the tattoo to prevent it from drying out and cracking.
By day 5-7 you can reduce washing and begin applying unscented lotion on the tattoo.
